The wait is over, Netflix has officially dropped the trailer for Season 7 of Charlie Brooker’s mind-bending sci-fi anthology series Black Mirror, set to premiere on April 10. And for the first time in the show’s history, we’re revisiting characters from a previous episode.

That’s right—Season 7 will bring back Cristin Milioti’s Nanette Cole and the surviving crew of the USS Callister from the fan-favorite Season 4 episode.

Nanette, the mild-mannered programmer turned virtual rebel, is back for more adventures in the digital cosmos. While Jesse Plemons’ villainous Robert Daly was defeated in the original episode, Billy Magnussen’s Karl, Milanka Brooks’ Elena, and Osy Ikhile’s Nate are all set to return.

Even Jimmi Simpson’s James Walton, who heroically sacrificed himself, will somehow make an appearance.

Season 7 isn’t just about the USS Callister crew. The new season boasts an all-star lineup, including Issa Rae, Paul Giamatti, Awkwafina, Peter Capaldi, Emma Corrin, Tracee Ellis Ross, and Chris O’Dowd. Joining them are Michele Austin, Asim Chaudhry, Will Poulter, and many more. With such a stacked cast, it’s clear Black Mirror is pulling out all the stops for its latest installment.

Since its debut in 2011, Black Mirror has been redefining the sci-fi genre with its dark, satirical take on technology and society. The series has racked up 14 Emmy nominations and eight wins, including Outstanding TV Movie for episodes like San Junipero, USS Callister, and the interactive Bandersnatch.

Created by Charlie Brooker, who executive produces alongside Jessica Rhoades and Annabel Jones, Black Mirror has become a cultural phenomenon. And with the return of the USS Callister crew, Season 7 promises to deliver the same mix of thrills, chills, and existential dread that fans have come to love.
