After the troublesome incident in London, Love Guru stars Mahira Khan and Humayun Saeed finally got the recognition they deserved as the duo were honored at a special ceremony in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as part of their promotional tour for the upcoming romantic comedy.

The recognition was presented by Pakistani Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, according to a statement from the embassy on Tuesday.

Humayun Saeed and Mahira Khan are currently on a global promotional tour for Love Guru, with events scheduled in the US, UK, and Canada. Their tour has included red carpet appearances, fan meet-and-greet sessions, and exclusive press interviews ahead of the film’s release during the Eid Al-Adha holiday next month.

“Ambassador Tirmizi presented commemorative shields to the artists, celebrating their dedication and achievements,” the Pakistan Embassy in the UAE said.

In his remarks, Ambassador Tirmizi highlighted the significance of Pakistan’s creative industries and their role in promoting the country’s image internationally.

Love Guru recently made headlines when its trailer was screened at New York City’s Times Square, marking the first time a Pakistani film has been featured on the iconic digital billboards. The event attracted a large crowd, including fans and members of the South Asian diaspora.

In the film, Humayun Saeed stars as a flirtatious man who pretends to be a relationship expert in an attempt to win over Mahira Khan’s character, a talented architect.
