The release of Pakistan’s first Netflix original series, Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo, has been postponed from June 2025 to later in the year, with a new premiere expected in October or November 2025.

Industry sources report that the highly anticipated series is in its final stages of production, with additional time allocated for post-production work to ensure a high-quality release. The delay aims to meet the expectations of both local and international audiences.

Based on Farhat Ishtiaq’s acclaimed novel and produced by Momina Duraid Productions, the Netflix series features a star-studded cast including Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, Sanam Saeed, Ahad Raza Mir, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Hania Aamir, Maya Ali, Khushhal Khan, Iqra Aziz, and Bilal Ashraf.

The series follows the story of Sikandar, a Harvard law student whose life takes a transformative turn after a significant event leads him to distance himself from others.

He crosses paths with Liza, a gifted artist with a troubled past but a vibrant spirit. The two characters meet in Italy, setting the stage for a tale of emotions and connections.

Reuniting on-screen are the three stars of the Punjabi blockbuster The Legend of Maula Jatt. Joining them is Sanam Saeed, known for her role in the Zindagi series Barzakh alongside Ahad Raza Mir, recognized for his part in Netflix’s series Resident Evil and his breakout performance in the BBC’s World on Fire.

Production is led by Dubai-based Momina Duraid Films FZ – LLC, with Momina Duraid herself serving as the showrunner. The series is filmed in various locations, including Italy, the U.K., and Pakistan.

The project also marks Farhat Ishtiaq’s return to the screen, known for adapting her own novels for television, including the popular Humsafar, Matae Jaan Hai Tu, and Bin Roye.
