As of yet, no Pakistani drama serial has officially headed to the West. However, even if the undisclosed Pakistani serial is decided, the public has suggestions of their own.

From classics like Irteqa and Alpha Bravo Charlie…..

To contemporary blockbusters like Meray Paas Tum Ho and Alif.

Pakistan’s military dramas have often garnered praise. So Ehd-e-Wafa was a strong contender.

Some suggested recent romantic hits like Zindagi Zulzar Hai, Humsafar, Aun Zara. Even our own period drama Dastaan. Turkey’s entertainment industry has made its own niche of period pieces, do we really want to contend with that?

However, not everyone had nice things to say.

Meanwhile, Senator Faisal Javed also announced that state broadcaster, Pakistan Television (PTV) will air new episodes of Ertugrul Ghazi throughout Ramzan at 7:45 pm.

Despite Turkish dramas first being introduced in Pakistan with Ask-e-Memnu and later grabbing popularity with period dramas like Mera Sultan, Ertugrul Ghazi broke all viewership records.
