We Now Have an Abhinandan-Inspired Tea Stall in Karachi

Wait till you read that tag-line behind this genius marketing campaign!

Abhinandan tea stall

A tea seller in Karachi is using Abhinandan as a marketing prop. Abdul Haq Khan from Rahim Yar Khan is the genius behind this campaign.

Indian Airforce Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman returned home but that image of him enjoying ‘chai’ in Pakistan really stuck with everyone. Abdul Haq Khan used WC Abhinandan’s picture on the banner of his tea stall with a catchy tagline and voila, we have a pretty superb advertisement for a tea stall.

That tagline is what’s winning the Internet over. Its a perfect reference to a recent event that makes you want to buy from that vendor.

Aesi chai k dushman ko bhi dost banaye (The tea that turns an enemy into a friend)”

A picture of the tea stall has been making rounds on the Internet

As impressed as we are with the pure genius of this campaign, who is this guy? How did Adbul Haq Khan get this idea?

How it All Happened

This tea stall was first set up by Abdul Haq Khan in Rahim Yar Khan. He was actually a restaurant owner that sold specially lamb curry for years. Following WC Abhinandan’s capture and his release as a gesture of peace, Abdul got a killer idea.

That video of Abhinandan sipping tea was an eureka moment for the lamb curry-cum-tea seller.

““I never knew the power of tea until I saw a cup in the hands of Indian pilot Abhinandan Vardhaman, singing praises of the Pakistan Army.”

That’s when he set up his tea stall, had a banner made and boom! He was in business.

At first, people would just give looks but soon enough, the customers came pouring in.
