Ali Gul Pir Responds After Ali Zafar Sends Harassment Notice To Him And Other Stars

Ali Gul Pir has responded to Ali Zafar’s notice which accused him of making derogatory remarks against the Teefa in Trouble star.

In a statement issued on Twitter earlier this morning, Ali Gul Pir said that everyone is entitled to share their opinion within the ambit of law. Moreover Ali, without naming anyone, said that:

“A certain celebrity, in this case, feels we can be silenced by being served these notices.”

The Wadera Ka Beta star’s response came after the Federal Investigation Agency issued notices to him and 16 other celebrities for allegedly defaming Ali Zafar.

“Should this “hero” realise that freedom of expression is a fundamental right and that you can not react with intimidation if someone calls you an ‘alleged harasser’. This is a classic case of those with influence trying to suppress dissent,” he added.

‘Not Afraid of Threats’

Furthermore, the renowned rapper stated that neither he has ever been of afraid of threats nor will back down this time because someone can’t take a joke.

“I wasn’t scared when waderas threatened me, I didn’t shut up when terrorists threatened me and I didn’t back down when Modi’s bhakhts threatened to kill me. I will definitely not back down because someone can’t take a joke.”

Ali Gul Pir concluded by saying that he hopes that this celebrity should realize that he can not silence those who he has a difference of opinion with.

“I have always fought for freedom of expression and everyone’s right to speak or not speak about anything, as long as it’s within the legal boundaries. I hope the law takes it’s course and this elitist realizes that he can’t silence those who disagree with him. We live in a free country where everyone is entitled to their opinions,” he concluded.

Ali Zafar had earlier pointed out that some fake accounts on social media were running a malicious campaign against him.

It should be mentioned here that these developments occurred following Meesha Shafi’s claims of harassment against him. The actor and singer had filled an application with the FIA’s cyber crime wing in this regard.

Talking to a local media outlet, FIA Deputy Director of the Cyber Crime wing Lahore, Chaudhry Sarfaraz, confirmed the latest developments in the case.

Ali Gul Pir along with Iffat Omar, Maham Javed, Fareeha Ayub, Mohsin Syed and Subha Ghani have been issued summon notices by FIA.

The celebrities who have been served notices will be recording their statements next week.
