Pakistani singer and songwriter, Ali Zafar has released a musical tribute for the celebrated mountaineer Mohammad Ali Sadpara. He took to his Twitter last night and announced that his tribute, Paharon Ki Qasam is out.

The song brings back the memories of Sadpara, whose courage and love for mountains brought pride and honor to Pakistan. The legendary mountaineer went missing on February 5 during an expedition to K2 along with John Snorri from Iceland and Juan Pablo from Chile.

Earlier, a video of Ali Sadpara went viral in which he was seen singing and dancing to Paharon Ki Qasam amid rounds of claps by fellow climbers.

In his memory, Ali Zafar sang the same song and gave a melodious tribute to the ‘unsung hero’. The description of the video reads,

“No nation can thrive without recognizing and celebrating their heroes. Ali Sadpara was one such unsung hero who dedicated his entire life and risked it to accomplish unprecedented feats for his country. This is the least I could do: sing for an unsung hero so that he is etched into our memories for as long as there is music.”

The video features clips and photos of Mohammad Ali Sadpara and his achievements.

“Muhammad Ali Sadpara is the only Pakistani to have climbed eight of the world’s 14 highest mountains, and he made the first ever winter ascent of the world’s ninth highest peak, Nanga Parbat.
