A teenage TikToker has lost his life after accidentally shooting himself with a revolver he was using to make a TikTok video.
As per reports, a fledgling TikToker, Keshav, from India’s Uttar Pradesh state had forced his mother to let him use his father’s revolver for producing a TikTok video. Little did the 18-year-old (and his family) know that the gun was loaded.
Savitri, his mother, told police that she was working in the kitchen and that she had gone out of the house for some household chores when she heard a gunshot. She rushed back to her house where her son was shooting the video, only to find him lying in a pool of blood.
Keshav was rushed to the hospital with injuries on his temple. The doctors soon pronounced him dead.
The police say they are investigating the case.
This is not the first time when the Chinese video-sharing app has proved to be deadly for youth.
Just recently, a 14-year-old TikTok star from Pakistan had died after being hit by a train. Young TikToker Sonu Singh was hit by a train from the back when he was shooting a video.
Pakistani peace activist Radesh Singh Tony, whose cousin was the victim, said Sonu was wearing headphones while walking on the railway track when he was hit.
