Are Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor Getting Married in Kashmir?

A poor choice for a lot of reasons.

While fans are curious about Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s impending wedding, sources reveal that the couple might tie the knot next year in Kashmir.

Both the actors caught the public’s attention when Alia Bhatt confirmed their engagement news earlier this year. Fans were happy and excited for the new couple and have been waiting for their marriage ever since.

Are they getting married soon?

The couple is already stealing headlines with the promotions of their upcoming movie Brahmastra, where the two actors will be seen sharing the scene for the first time. However, what is keeping the fans more intrigued are the rumors regarding their marriage. According to some sources, it is believed that Alia and Ranbir will tie the knot next year and that too in Kashmir.

Why Kashmir?

Sources reveal that Alia wishes to host the wedding at Kashmir, as the actress fell in love with the valley while shooting for her film Raazi in 2017. However, If we look at the situation from another aspect, this decision might make a majority of Pakistanis and Muslims uncomfortable, considering what has been happening to our brothers and sisters in Kashmir.

India, as a nation has failed to manifest humanity as they keep slaughtering Kashmiris. The news is not new, in fact, this has been the situation ever since the two countries parted. And just a few months ago, India revoked Kashmir’s special status as an autonomous region, and cut off all communications in the valley, effectively turning it into an open-air prison.

Given all these points, is Alia and Ranbir’s decision of having a wedding there quite insensitive of the couple? Who could host a grand wedding at a place where their country is constantly shedding the blood of innocent people?
