Yasir Hussain’s objection over local brands signing deals with foreign actors landed him in hot waters. His ‘nationalist’ opinion received a lot of backlash from the public and even some celebrities disagreed with him.
Billal Ashraf, Anushey Ashraf, and Aagha Ali are of the view that there really isn’t an issue with having international celebrities work in Pakistan.
We need to welcome all artists from around the globe. Art has no language or boundaries. Don’t politicize everything. Love & welcome everyone. PAKISTAN 🇵🇰 Zinda Dil logon ka mulk hai. Aur Pakistani qaum kay dilon mei pyar he pyar hai 😊

Yasir Hussain Gets Slammed by Netizens
This isn’t the first time the actor’s words met with a negative response from the public, but he is quite notorious for throwing controversial statements here and there.
Following his rant over QMobile’s decision to hire Turkish actress Esra Bilgic as their brand ambassador, netizens trolled him hard for being nothing but an ‘attention seeker’.

“I believe Yasir Hussain is being subjected to online harassment and bullying. I know he’s a public figure but some of the comments I’ve read are just depraved and downright evil! Calling him and his family disgusting names and wishing ill over a TV show is below the belt! Stop it now.”

While Twitteratis agree that people shouldn’t attack him or his family over this, but they also believe that the Jhooti actor often ‘asks for it’.
As much as I respect you, I believe you are getting it wrong.
He is a public figure. His opinion will naturally gain public's praise or hate. If he was worried so much about this hatred, he should not have commented on someone who is currently more popular in Pakistan than him.— Ali (@engralikhan) July 16, 2020
While I completely agree that some users cross a line and say things that shouldn’t be said to anyone. Yasir Hussain is someone that feeds off of controversy he deliberately does these stunts to garner attention he doesn’t care if it’s good or bad. It’s super disappointing to

He should think before he speaks or he should be ready for consequences for his actions. What he was saying portrayed a negative image of Pakistan on the international platform.we should welcome turkish artists with open arms.

Iqra Aziz also recently came to rescue her husband from the whole situation.
