Asim Azhar has set the record straight about his alleged engagement to model Merub Ali. The Yaad singer clarified his stance and said that any announcement regarding his life will be made by him directly.
It was earlier speculated that Asim and Merub have been engaged in a private ceremony. The two of them are good friends but nobody saw it coming. Shortly after, a screenshot went viral on social media, in which Asim Azhar allegedly replied to a DM and denied the ongoing rumors. Not only that, but the singer allegedly said that he considers Merub his sister.
“She [Merub] is a really good family friend of mine. I consider her just like my sister and I request you to please remove the posts portraying wrong messages about me and Merub,” read the screenshot.
But turns out, the screenshot was doctored. Taking to his Twitter, the singer reassured his fans that he will keep them updated about his life and will inform them directly about his decisions. The screenshot floating around on the internet is fake and he requested the public to stop spreading fake messages between him and a fan.
“Dear fans, The screenshot floating around of my chat with a fan is FAKE. I request all to not spread it any further. Also, any announcement regarding my life will be made from me directly to you like always. I love you guys,” he wrote with a heart emoji.
