Pakistani skipper Babar Azam’s father, Azam Siddique has refuted rumors circulating on social media that of his son is set to tie the knot after the ODI World Cup 2023.
The social media sphere was abuzz on Monday with rumors swirling about his personal life, particularly regarding his marital status.
Speculations were rife that the 28-year-old cricketer was planning to tie the knot shortly after the conclusion of the upcoming ODI World Cup, scheduled for October-November this year.
The rumors gained momentum after a social media fan page shared the news on Twitter, proclaiming, “Babar Azam is set to marry in November after the World Cup.”
Yet, a PCB correspondent has revealed that Babar Azam’s father promptly debunked these rumors. He emphatically clarified that there was no urgency for his son’s marriage and affirmed that Babar’s current focus remained steadfastly on cricket.
The senior Azam reiterated that Babar’s primary objective was to elevate Pakistan’s cricketing successes through his on-field performance. He emphasized that fans would need to exercise patience for at least another year before witnessing Babar donning the groom’s attire.
