Baaji’s ‘Ik Tu’ Looks Like a Corny Bollywood Song [Video]

It Literally has a scene from a Bollywood movie!

Baaji‘s soundtrack sounds great but all of its’ singles are shrouded by criticism, from the Mehwish-Hayat starrer Badlaan to its most recent one Ik Tu.

Ik Tu has been shot in Pakistan’s scenic Northern Areas. You can check out its video here:

The track features a male and a female character doing what a male and female actor always do when they share a screen in every film.

Yes, we were waiting for Meera and Osman Khalid Butt’s onscreen chemistry, but we were expecting better.

Just Another ‘Inspired’ Bollywood Number?

The track has Zeb Bangash’s serene vocals. Shahzad Ali composed Ik Tu and Shakeel Sohail penned the beautiful lyrics.

The catch is, the visualization of this song is something we have seen so many times before. It just looks like your typical Bollywood love song with the doe eyes, lots of melodrama, even the costumes.

In the music video, Meera is dancing in a yellow saree, with a distant Osman Khalid Butt on the other end of the screen. Oh and its eerily similar to Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil!

Ik Tu stole a scene from Bollywood’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil

Nigah Hussain is the song’s choreographer. This is the same man behind Shakar Wandaan (Ho Mann Jahaan), Billi (Na Maloom Afraad), Kaif-o-Suroor (Na Maloom Afraad 2), etc.

Plus this shot looks like something out of a Bollywood film too complete with its over the top corniness.

Looks like the heroine kissed it to make the boo-boo go away? We may have suggested burn cream, but that works too.
