BLACKPINK’s Lisa becomes the Fastest K-Pop Artist to Hit 1 Billion Streams on Spotify

The K-pop queen achieved the milestone in 411 days, with just three songs across all credits.

BLACKPINK member Lisa just made history this week by becoming the fastest K-pop artist to cross a billion streams on Spotify.

According to Spotify’s latest update on 26 October, she set a new record by cumulating more than one billion streams on it.

Lisa made her solo debut on 10 September 2021 with the album Lalisa which reached the one billion mark in just 411 days, surpassing the only other K-pop female artists, Taeyeon, IU, Jay Park, and BTS’s Suga to achieve this incredible milestone.

What’s more impressive is that Lisa only has just three songs across all credits — Lalisa, Money, and SG ( recorded with DJ Snake, Ozuna, and Megan Thee Stallion).

Lalisa Manoban, who goes by her stage name ‘Lisa’, is a world-renowned K-pop rapper, singer, and dancer from Thailand, and is a member of the uber-popular girl band, BLACKPINK.

The 25-year-old K-pop queen has a huge fan base and is the most-followed South Korean artiste on Instagram, with more than 83 million followers.
