The Korean heartthrob left for Qatar over the weekend ahead of the FIFA 2022 World Cup. The opening ceremony for football’s biggest competition will take place on 20 November at the Al Bayt Stadium. There are rumors that BTS will perform in the opening ceremony but no official performers lineup has been disclosed as of yet.

BTS began promoting the World Cup in collaboration with Hyundai in September with a special version of their hit song Yet To Come.

Elsewhere, another BTS member, Jin, is set to perform his latest solo song The Astronaut with the band Coldplay in Argentina. The song and album will be Jin’s final project as he as well as Jungkook and the rest of the BTS members are to perform their mandatory military service for South Korea.
