Bollywood is making a biopic on Uzma Ahmed, the Indian woman who married a Pakistani taxi driver. Saif Ali Khan is also on board and Shraddha Kapoor has been offered the main role of Uzma.
Shraddha Kapoor has been offered to playing the female lead Uzma Ahmed., the Delhi girl that moved to Pakistan to be with her beloved. The Aashiqui 2 star was last seen in Stree (2018).

So far she has not confirmed if she’s on board to play Uzma Ahmed. Mumbai Mirror reports that Saif Ali Khan, on the other hand, is excited about the movie.
“When the team met for a narration, Saif instantly liked the script. He has agreed to be a part of the project and will be sporting a very different look in the film, which is expected to roll in February-March next year. The makers are currently looking to cast an A-list actress to play Uzma.”
The Tashan star won’t don his avatar for the role till much later. That’s around the time they plan to start shooting.
Naam Shabana director Shivam Nair will helm the direction of the film. Meanwhile, Ritesh Shah is working on the screenplay.

Uzma Ahmed’s Romance Gone Awry
Saif Ali Khan will essay the role of JP Singh, India’s former Deputy High Commissioner in Islamabad. The diplomat played a key role in bringing Uzma Ahmed back to India after it emerged that Uzma might have not gotten married out of her own free will.
Uzma Ahmed fell in love with a Pakistani taxi driver, Tahir Ali, during a trip to Malaysia. When she went to look for him in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, she was forced to marry him at gunpoint.
