BTS’s Jin’s New Solo Song ‘The Astronaut’ with Coldplay is a Farewell to Army Before He Leaves for the Military

Finally, the most awaited BTS solo song, The Astronaut, by Kim Seojin (aka Jin) was finally released today, much to the delight of Armies before he is enlisted in the South Korean army this year.

The song is a collaboration between Jin and Coldplay, with the lyrics written by the singer, poignantly capturing his affection for Army, with assistance by Coldplay.

The song gained more than 4.2 million views in just a few hours.

The song opens with Jin sitting in a field, looking at a burning spaceship while talking about an unending history. The song is about two people who weren’t meant to be together but are now one and inseparable.

Scenes from the music video show Jin as an astronaut from outer space, and people as his fans, for whom he stays back as a spaceship floats in the sky, ready to depart for the next chapter.

Armies think that the girl in the video not only representing them but also his band members RM, V, JK, J-Hope, Suga, and Jimin.
