There’s been so much speculation surrounding Zoya Nasir and Christian Betzmann’s split. After the actress first announced the break-up, Christian Betzmann made a statement of his own.
Many speculated the split had to do with the German travel vlogger’s statement on Palestine. He asserted that Pakistanis posting about the Palestinian issue is pointless. Soon afterward Zoya Nasir announced that she and Christian Betzmann are breaking up due to his stance on her ‘culture, country, people and insensitivity towards her religion‘.
“It’s with a heavy heart I’m announcing that Christian Betzmann and I are no longer engaged to be married. His sudden change in stance towards my culture, my country, my people and insensitivity towards my religion has lead me to take this difficult and irrevocable decision,” she wrote.

Making the announcement on social media, she wished Betzmann a ‘happy future’.
Now Christian Betzmann is finally sharing his side of the story.
The YouTuber specifically cleared the air on Zoya Nasir’s statement about his ‘stance on her culture and country.’
“Pakistan has welcomed me with open arms and I am forever grateful for that. I love my fans and I love everyone who has been supporting the channel over the past year to show the good image of this country, and the fun side.”
He seems to suggest the issue was a lack of acceptance for his culture, not the other way around. He also got real about Pakistan’s developmental problems.
“I had to adapt to this culture, and you now will have to adapt to mine; Honest and constructive criticism. Infrastructure wise this country is a third world country. and it also suffers immensely from pollution. These are facts, doesn’t mean I hate this country of it’s people. That’s a lie.”
He further broke the silence on his controversy about Palestine. He also talked about his conversion to Islam.
“I have never insulted any religion, … Like I said, twisting facts and spreading hate is easier than finding solutions for change. I was always with Palestine and my Muslim brothers and never supported Israel in any way.”

The YouTube content creator recently converted to Islam after proposing to his Muslim girlfriend at the time, Zoya Nasir.
He then asked people to lay off the hate of jog on. In the end he thanked his Pakistani supporters yet again.
As for the split, in a comment he said he ‘left her’, but that’s a different story.

The two were part of a travel series about hitch-hiking through Pakistan. Soon afterwards they announced that they’re dating. Then, earlier this year after Christian Betzmann proposed to Zoya Nasir in the Bahamas.
A bunch of Pakistani YouTubers were even seen hosting a ‘dholki’ for the soon-to-be-wed couple.
They were even together till Eid as the German vlogger was seen in family photographs. Now just yesterday the Zebaish actress announced their split.
