A short clip from the Hum Awards is doing the rounds on the internet, showing Ahmed Ali Butt making fun of Ahmed Ali Akbar’s look from his super hit serial Parizaad and passing colorist remarks which ‘prompted’ the Laal Kabootar star to rush forward and slap Butt, leaving everyone shocked.
Viewers likened it to the Chis Rock and Will Smith’s slap controversy from the Oscars earlier this year but many are still confused about whether it was a real outburst with a similar reaction or a scripted one.
This year’s Hum Awards took place in Toronto, Canada, over the weekend on a night full of glamor and glitz, replete with amazing performances besides the actual awards show itself, but it was just this one ‘incident’ that hazed the audience.
The show’s host, Butt, kept making jokes here and there but his quip about Akbar’s tan-skinned character in Parizaad appeared to have backfired.

It appears as if the two actors reacted in the same way as Will Smith and Chris Rock did during the Oscars when the latter made a poorly thought remark about Smith’s wife for being bald.
The Parchi star seemed to fume with rage and said,

Now the same thing happened during the Hum Awards amidst controversies about celebrities attending it while Pakistan is grappling with the aftermath of the cataclysmic floods and foreign celebrities are visiting to help the affectees.
