Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is one of the biggest names in Hollywood right now. The wrestler-turned-actor has been on roll ever since he left the WWE. With larger than life performances in The Fast & The Furious franchise and Baywatch, the former wrestler has hinted an interest in exploring the glitzy world of Bollywood!
In an interview with IANS, the People’s Champ expressed an interested for working in the biggest film industry in Asia. Dwayne said that it would be ‘fun’ to work in a Bollywood action film one day.
“I wouldn’t rule that out. I have a lot of respect for Bollywood and the history of Bollywood.”

We’ve already seen ‘The Rock’ co-star with the Bollywood megastar Priyanka Chopra, so it would not come as a surprise to see him featured in a Bollywood film. In fact, Dwayne has already made a few friends in India, such as Varun Dhawan. The two have been interacting with one another on social media and have bonded well.
Referring to Dhawan, ‘The Rock’ said,
“He is such a big fan. I’ve interacted with him before on social media. And I know, he is a big star in India. Yeah, so maybe one day, you never know, you could see me in a Bollywood action movie. That’d be a lot of fun because I know that we have a lot of wonderful fans in India, and we have talked about that.”
At the moment, Dwayne Johnson is looking forward to the release of his highly-anticipated sequel to Jumanji, which will be released on December 13.
We do have to wonder, what it would be like to see Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson in a Bollywood setting. With the Indian film industry’s over-the-top action, and ridiculous stunts, Dwayne would fit in just fine. Let’s hope we don’t see him perform a cringey dance number.
