England’s T20i Captain, Moeen Ali, just revealed that he prefers Karachi’s food to Lahori food, leaving the internet divided with his statement as he reignited the age-old rivalry between the cities’ foods.
After winning the series last night, England’s all-rounder, Ali, shared his thoughts in a post-match press conference:
I’ve been a little bit disappointed by the food in Lahore. Karachi was really nice.

One of the journalists asked the English skipper about his experience during his team’s stay in Lahore, to which he responded he was happy with the security and hospitality but was a little ‘disappointed’ with the food.
The Pakistani-Englishman went on to rub salt on Lahori’s wounds and added as an afterthought that ‘Karachi was nice’.
England’s tour of Pakistan ended with the visitors securing a series win last night in the crucial 7th T20i. Ali and his side put on a mammoth of a total, scoring 209 for 3.
In reply, Pakistan lost its star openers, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, in the first two overs. Its persistently middle order problems were exposed once again as the men in green finished their lackluster innings on 142 for 8 in 20 overs, losing by 67 runs.
In the end, England clinched the series 4-3.
Pakistanis aren’t sure whether they are upset with the outcome of the series or Ali’s choice of cuisine. Lahore is considered to be Pakistan’s ‘food hub’ but Karachi equally contests its status. Do you agree with Moeen Ali? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.

I fully agree with Moeen Ali. Karachi is way ahead in food. Lahore is overstated.
Karachi is best
It is not fair to compete food wise as some food dishes of Karachi are outstanding and some Lahori dishes are outstanding too. I think internally all will agree with me.
