Turkish actress Esra Bilgic has had enough of Pakistani trolls who are constantly moral policing her over her outfits.

The Ertugrul star has been receiving malicious comments from her so-called Pakistani fans over her choice of attire ever since her drama became popular in the country.

In the past few months, people have thoughtlessly shared their opinions over her photos. It is important to distinguish between fiction and reality but unfortunately, some people find it hard to differentiate between a fictional character and a real living, breathing human.

Perhaps, this very reason led to excessive criticism when Esra Bilgic shared her photos on social media. Some people thought that the actress would actually live like her on-screen persona of Halime Sultan. She would ride horses, wear long gowns and ethnic jewelry. They just wanted her to be ‘modest Halime.’

But we all know that’s not true. Some people still refer to her as “Halima Sultan” or “Halima Baji” as if that’s her real name.

People have openly criticized her for ‘showing skin’, ‘not living like her character in real life’ and ‘not following the codes of Islam’. But it seems Esra is now courageous to confront these trolls. Enough is enough.

Esra Bilgic Shuts Down Troll

The Ramo actress has finally broken her silence on the matter and has advice for all those nasty trolls.

When a Pakistani troll decided to tell her not to wear such dresses, Esra Bilgic clapped back and said don’t follow me if you have a problem with it.

“Let me give you a little advice: Don’t follow me. Thank you,” she responded.

We are glad that Esra has spoken against the negativity she receives on a daily basis just because of the way she dresses. Turkey and Pakistan enjoy close ties, and these trolls are not really doing anyone any favors by portraying a rigid, stuck-up image of backwardness.

We hope this will put some sense into these trolls who try to lecture others thinking it’s their job to ‘make things right’. Esra Baaji has taken the first step (finally), and now we hope people can refrain from being the serial harassers they are online.
