FACE Music Mela Happening in Islamabad Today!

Here’s your chance to enjoy live jazz music for the first time in Pakistan.

The Foundation for Arts Culture and Education (FACE) is back with the seventh Music Mela featuring several musical acts from Pakistan and around the world at the Pakistan National Council of Arts (PNCA) in Islamabad, today and tomorrow until 11 PM.

For the first time, Pakistan is showcasing live jazz music by international jazz musicians from Switzerland, Austria, Poland, and the USA, and you don’t want to miss it!

Day one offers enthralling jazz performances by, Sunny Jain from the USA, the Marcel Balinski Trio from Poland, Shams Raheel from Afghanistan, Asfandyar Khattak from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), dholi Sain Tanveer from Punjab, Leva Dance from Balochistan, Saakin, Bayan, Abdul Hannan, and Peter Makto from Hungary.

The second day will have more jazz music by The Late-Night Cats from Switzerland, the Red Studio (formerly Sachal Studio) from Pakistan, and the Dusha Connection from Austria.

The main stage acts will start with Amar Bai from Sindh, Rebel Club, Nimra Rafique, Karakorum, Sunny Jain’s Wild East from the USA in collaboration with the Bakhshi brothers and Sain Tanveer, besides Umair Jaswal, and the finale by Faris Shafi.

FACE is an organization that aims to empower, educate and strengthen people through the arts and cultural interactions that ensure sustainable communities. It also shows how Pakistani musicians have taken the initiative to create the foundations for the music industry.

Its founder, Zeejah Fazli, is an entrepreneur, producer, and director of its cultural programs. He started FACE in response to cultural dialogue opportunities between Pakistan and other countries.
