Fact Check: Was This Lahori Teacher Actually Fired From School For Being ‘Too Attractive’? [Pictures]

The teacher alleged that school admin told her, ‘sexy teachers will spoil the students’. But what is the truth?

Does a person’s physical appearance play a big role in them keeping or losing a job? Is there something called ‘too attractive’ for a job? Apparently, a Lahori teacher was allegedly fired for being too pretty.

That is just another example of how women are expected to look a certain way for any given profession. ‘Too pretty’, ‘not pretty enough’ should not be clouding the judgement of the employers; the only thing that matters is their qualification and capability of doing the job right.

Bol News reported that the 29-year-old who was employed as a teacher for the past 6 years was terminated on August 11, 2020. The reason given was that she was ‘too sexy’ to teach secondary students.

“Apparently I received a termination letter from my school administrator stating that my body is too fit or erotic for me to teach classes to the secondary education students. We usually wear decent shalwar kameez dupatta and so no idea what else they wanted from me? Ridiculous,” said Aasia.

Something is fishy…

Oddly this Twitter account was only created recently in October 2020. BOL News did some digging but couldn’t authenticate it as well. But do you notice how familiar this ‘teacher’ looks? That’s because these photographs are of Indian Instagram model Sanjana Singh. And a fake Twitter user has been using these images and came up with the false accusation! We wonder who would even resort to a silly act like this…
