Pakistani celebrities Anoushey Ashraf, Farhan Saeed and others called former cricketer Shoaib Akhtar on his ‘review’ of the PSL 6 anthem. People are not happy with the ‘Rawalpindi Express’ for his rude rant and hatred towards with the song “Groove Mera”.
The official soundtrack for the Pakistan Super League 2021 is out now. The new song titled “Groove Mera” features singers Aima Baig, Young Stunners and legendary artist Naseebo Lal. The song is catchy but has garnered mixed reactions from the public. Some enjoyed it, while others don’t like it. Pakistani fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar just hates it.
Recently, the “Rawalpindi Express” took to social media to share his ‘thoughts’ on the song. Let’s just say that Shoaib’s remarks are not exactly constructive criticism. Check it out!
“Aren’t you ashamed?” he asked the makers of the song, claiming that it was scaring his children. “My kid hasn’t spoken in three days because of this song,” he said with a smirk.

People believe that Shoaib Akhtar took it too far and shouldn’t have bashed the work and effort put into the song. Former VJ and actress Anoushey Ashraf called out Shoaib Akhtar for being unnecessarily hateful towards “Groove Mera”.
“Oh dear, this is in bad taste. One thing to not like a song, another thing to run down artists, musicians this way,” she commented on Akhtar’s video shared by Hello! Pakistan. “Big fan of Shoaib Akhtar but not the way he’s bashing the new anthem. Some people, including many of your friends, fans and family, like the track. Difference of opinion is welcome, degrading someone’s work isn’t. Don’t like the track, cool. Hating on it this way? Not cool.”
Popular singer and actor Farhan Saeed is in agreement with Anoushey as he likes the song and praised Naseebo Lal. He stated Shoaib Akhtar’s opinion is stupid and that the song will be a big time in the stadiums.
“It’s his opinion, that’s okay! He has the right, but that’s a stupid opinion is what is my opinion,” commented singer and actor Farhan Saeed on the same post. “This song will be a winner in the stadiums, mark it! Well done Zulfiqar J Khan, Aima Baig and of course Naseebo Lal. Great effort!”

So when Shoaib Akhtar was being paid millions by Kolkata Knight Riders and this song came up I bet he would have danced on this track at the Eden Gardens just to impress Shahrukh jee!

What is song about. Singers only sing the song. Lyrics is confusing. I would have appreciated had they included Pushto, Sindhi and Baluchi sentences as well. After all it PSL and we have teams from all provinces. Unity of Federation should not have been overlooked.
