A Worrying Trend

According to the spokesperson of Prime Minister’s Polio taskforce Babar Bin Ata:
“We have seen active transmission in Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Quetta, Peshawar, Bannu, Killa Abdullah and Pishin.”
It should be noted that the first National Polio Campaign of 2019 started from January 21st this year. It aimed at vaccinating more than 8 million children under 5 years of age during a three day period. Polio workers went door to door to administer the polio vaccine to children.
As per DC Lahore:

About 10 polio cases were confirmed in Pakistan last year. In 2017, the number of polio cases was 7, while in 2016 it was 20.

Well said by Zelda.. administering polio drops in the street has its own set of unhygienic conditions I’m nit surprised..
have hands been washed
Has medicine been stored at the right tempterature and what about the person administration it???
I’m sure he can go private… state should worry about those that cannot access or afford the medication
The last day of polio vaccinations in Pakistan was inaugurated in 2003. But due to involvement of state grants , state likes the extension of this project. Furthermore To save jobs and salaries, the high profile staff are also creating hurdles. Vaccination is not harmful but yes it is if not handle with care. It is the duty of state to have a reserach department to handle situation and convince people like fawad through proper research. Instead of sending police officer with this team. If you remember, The same vaccination programme was used for other activity as well . Don’t want to go in more depth. In well develop countries they have a separate departments doing research , literature reviews and clinical audits to make the treatment more suitable for patient’s. Furthermore all reports are available on their official for any concern.
Long Live Pakistan
It is important to know what is the frequency and allowed times a person should be vaccinated. The schools are vaccinating kids without the permission of the parents and they are doing it very frequently. I have also told the schools that my kids were vaccinated at birth for all possible problems and then they have been vaccinated for Polio more than thrice already. But they say it is mandatory and they keep the practice going. I think there should be a stop to this nonsense
And these people care for our children more than us. We should be allowed to choose the doctor who gives vacation to our children. We need to sure of the quality and proper dosage. It’s about trust, I won’t allow xyz polio workers to give these drops to my children.
