FIA Sub-Inspector Suspended For Asking a Minor For Her Mobile Number

He is accused of harassing a 15-year-old girl at the airport.

A Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) official landed in trouble for his inappropriate behavior towards a 15-year-old girl. The FIA Sub-Inspector targeted the young girl for being a lone traveler at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport.

The FIA sub-inspector Sanjay allegedly asked the minor for ‘mithai’ (a bribe). He also asked for her contact number, teasing her to meet him when he comes to Bahrain.

A video of the FIA official is being confronted for using his position to harass a 15-year-old.

He is heard saying that the contact number was required and the demand for ‘mithai’ was a joke.

Parhlo reports, the 15-year-old, Nadia Nabeel, arrived in Karachi from Bahrain via Gulf Airlines.

As per reports by media, the FIA sub-inspector accused of misbehaving with the young girl has been suspended. The decision to suspend him came into action on Tuesday. Officials took action after the video of Sub-Inspector Sanjay being confronted by people went viral.

ARY News reported that Additional Director FIA, Zain Shaikh confirmed the suspension of the FIA’s Sub-Inspector Sanjay. He reportedly said that the official has been blacklisted at the airport. His Airports Security Force (ASF) pass and other documents have also been seized.

Thanks to the public justice was served. Credit goes to the people at the airport who confronted the official who finally admitted that he asked for the minor’s number. Then Netizens raised the issue so much on social media, the authorities were compelled to take action.

  1. Suspension is not the solution to prevent such incidents, rather termination will surely prevent such issues…… today he was suspended tomorrow posted some where else, as usually as precidnece

    We have to take strict actions and modify law in this regard.

  2. Justice is served after fair investigation backed by proofs. This was just one-sided public diatribe without any semblence of fair investigation. Social outcry and moral policing does not equate to justice.

    We, as public, do not know facts of this case. Period.
