Former Miss India Pooja Batra just got hitched! Her wedding pictures prove she’s graceful even as a summer bride.

A Marriage Solemnized on Earth
Pooja Batra tied the knot with Don 2 actor Nawab Shah.
The two stars met through mutual friends in February early this year and had an instant connection. (burning Helium maybe?).
In an inteview, Nawab Shah confessed that he ‘wanted to marry her the moment he met her‘.
Here’s how Pooja summed up their story:
“I guess we reconnected at the right time in our life. We were in the same space emotionally and hit it off instantly. I have always respected and liked Nawab, and this time around, I was open to the idea of getting to know him better.
A part of me wanted to see if there could be something beyond friendship between us. We share emotional and intellectual compatibility, and we don’t have to explain too much to each other.”

The Ceremony
Pooja Batra and Nawab Shah signed the deed on June 3rd in an intimate ceremony at his New Delhi home. First, they had a traditional Nikah (Muslim nuptials) followed by Hindu rituals on June 4th.
Only close family members were invited.
“Nawab and I exchanged vows in Delhi, with only our families in attendance. Our loved ones kept asking us why we were delaying it (the marriage). I was simply going with the flow, but then I realized that he is the man I want to spend the rest of my life with, and there is no point in delaying it any further.”

Nawab Shah is rocking that turban and looked every bit a ‘Nawab‘ living up to the name (that’s just his name and he’s not royalty, just to be clear).
Pooja Batra Hitched, Again
The former pageant queen is known for films like Virasat, Bhai and Jodi No. 1. When her Bollywood career didn’t blow up, she moved to the United States.
Previously the Jodi No. 1 actress was married to orthopedic surgeon Dr. Sonu Ahluwalia in Los Angeles from 2002 to 2010. In 2011, the two called it quits when Pooja Batra filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences.
Nawab Shah, on the other hand, is swept away by his bride. Talk about being whipped (in a good way!).
“Pooja is a lovely soul and a great person, and that’s important to me. Romance happens on its own and is an organic process. We are on the same wavelength and are alike.”
The Don 2 actor then revealed that despite marrying so soon, both of them had no doubts about the relationship or each other. Which he admits ‘is rare in today’s day and age‘.
