Govt Grants Firdous Jamal Rs. 10 Million for Cancer Treatment

His son had broken the sad news earlier this month.

The Adviser to the Prime Minister on Political and Public Affairs, Engineer Ameer Muqam, presented veteran actor Firdous Jamal a cheque for Rs 10 million for his cancer treatment.

Earlier this month, the actor’s son, Hamza Firdous had announced the news of his cancer on his social media account and asked his fans for prayers.

Upon learning about it, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called Firdous Jamal personally and announced that the Government of Pakistan would bear the expenses of his cancer treatment. He assured him that the nation is praying for his speedy recovery as well.

The actor is currently under treatment at Shaukat Khanum hospital.

Firdous Jamal is a veteran Pakistani actor who is known for his brilliant acting skills. He started his career in Hindko dramas and has worked in more than 300 television plays and 150 stage plays.

The Pyaray Afzal star often came under fire for his mean comments about successful actors. His ageist remarks about Mahira Khan landed him in hot waters after which he was banned from activities on Hum TV, following which he made a harsh remark about Humayun Saeed’s acting.
