This sassy rom-com may have some ransom money involved.

Heer Maan Ja teaser

While we were dreading all the runaway bride movies this year, Pakistani rom-com Heer Maan Ja‘s first trailer brought depth to the story.

We knew, based on Heer Maan Ja‘s poster, that this will indeed be a runaway bride film. Even the lead actress Hareem Farooq confirmed this.

The rom-com looks more interesting with doses of sarcastic comedy sprinkled throughout the trailer.

You can watch it here:

Now that we’ve seen the trailer, it sure looks like the bride wasn’t in on the running away plan.

There’s sass, and there’s some ransom money involved as well.

This Pakistani rom-com is looking up to be more than what meets the eye.

We’re also keeping an eye out for a dance number with Ali Rehman, Hareem Farooq, and Faizan Shaikh.

While we already knew Hareem Farooq and Ali Rehman will be taking up the spotlight, there are some other interesting characters too. Heer Maan Ja cast Amina Sheikh, Saleem Mairaj, Faizan Shaikh, Ali Kazmi, Mojiz Hassan, Shamayle Khattak, and the young Sami Khan.

The film will also see the return of Zara Sheikh on the silver screen. The Honor Killing actress’s cameo will be in an item number.

More on Heer Maan Ja

After hits like Siyaah, Janaan and Parchi, IRK films and Arif Lakhani Films are teaming up for Heer Maan Ja. The romantic comedy was penned by Owais Korai Baloch.

Heer Maan Ja release date is scheduled for Eid-Ul-Adha.

Both the lead artists chemistry is on point like their performances in Diyar-e-Dil, Parchi and Main Khayal Hoon Kisi Aur Ka.

Faizan Shaikh from Parchi and Saaya is decked out to play a villain this time around.

Aamina Sheikh’s role seems to be a pivotal one but we have no details of her character. Meanwhile, Ali Kazmi was missing in the trailer.
Based on the release date the Pakistani rom-com will be pegged against The Legend of Maula Jatt
