Here’s How Malala Met Asser Malik

It is evident that the couple had known each other for a few years before tying the knot.

Malala Yousafzai, the Nobel Laureate made a big announcement on her social media accounts yesterday. The education activist married Asser Malik in an intimate ceremony in Birmingham with only close friends and family.

The social activist’s husband Asser Malik is the general manager of the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) High-Performance Centre since 2020. Prior to that, he worked for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Multan Sultans as an operational manager. He also ran a player management agency.

Malala’s father and friends shared the pictures of their Nikkah ceremony on their respective accounts. Her father tweeted,

“It is beyond words, Toor Pekai and I are overwhelmed with joy and gratitude.”

Where many people are taken aback by this surprise wedding, at the same time they are curious about how the couple met. Earlier, they had been photographed together on various occasions. She was first spotted with Asser at Lord’s Cricket Stadium in London for the World Cup 2019.

After a few days, they were in Edgbaston Stadium for another match.

Aseer Malik recently attended his wife, Malala’s 24th birthday in July. He shared their picture on his Twitter account with a caption.

“Happy Birthday to the most amazing Malala, SRK had to make a necessary cameo of course.”

No matter how they met, it is evident that the couple had earlier known each other for a few years before tying the knot.

Many congratulations to the couple!
