She Justifies Her Character in Jalan

She doesn’t want to get stuck with only one kind of role and doesn’t like being typecast. But with Jalan, she was able to explore the realm of acting even further. The role of Nisha in her view is very creative and provides the ground for her to express her best possible skills.

Sharing more details about her role and the drama, Minal Khan said that the story is so much more than a sister coveting her brother-in-law. The sibling rivalry takes place on many occasions and it’s a neglected issue in our society.

In a desi society, the elder child is always expected to be good to his/her younger siblings. He/she shall sacrifice everything if their sibling want something from them.

This idea is stemmed in our minds since childhood. When a younger sibling cries over a toy that belongs to the older sibling, parents always ask them to give it to the little ones. The older siblings are ‘supposed’ to pamper younger siblings and must always fulfill their demands.

This plays a great deal in their self-development and sometimes they take it too far and end up with SRD (Sibling Rivalry Disorder).

This is exactly what we see in Nisha and Minal Khan is not okay with it. She says parents should take responsibility and should be there to guide there children in every possible way.
