Pakistani netizens are celebrating the appointment of the first Hindu woman as Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) in Sindh Police. Pushpa Kolhi made history as Sindh Police’s first Hindu woman ASI.

Pushpa Kolhi has become the first girl from Hindu community to qualify in the provincial competitive examinations through the Sindh Public Service Commission. 

Pakistani human rights activist Kapil Dev praised Pushpa Kohli on becoming an ASI in Sindh Police.

One Twitter user shared information on our first Hindu woman ASI’s background. Turns out Pushpa Kohli is a small-town girl from Samaro, Sindh. Samaro is a small ‘taluka’ (an administrative subdivision) in district Umerkot.

Pushpa comes from a respectable family in her town. The people of Samaro are proud of all that she has accomplished.
