Humayun Saeed Claps Back at Shaan Shahid’s Backhanded Comment

The actor showed his class and camaraderie in his witty response.

The Crown star, Humayun Saeed, responded to fellow actor Shaan Shaid’s taunt on Tuesday and won fans over with his respectful and witty answer. Responding to the Zarrar star’s diss, he tweeted,

Idhar bhi jaonga aur udhar bhi jaonga… Aur zarrar dekhne bhi jaonga…

(I’ll go here and I’ll go there… And I’ll also go to see Zarrar)

The actor also promoted Shaan’s film by mentioning its release date, 25 November, and concluded his tweet with, “All the best Shaan bhai“.

For context, veteran actor Shaan Shahid was interviewed by a local media outlet yesterday and critiqued the Pakistani industry for not exploring more genres. He also took a dig at Humayun Saeed’s blockbuster films, Punjab Nahi Jaungi and London Nahi Jaunga.

He said, “There are many subjects which are not being touched by the directors, they are not exploring the genre of horror which has a lot more to be done. There is a whole genre of sci-fi which directors don’t even want to touch”.

He added

It can only be done if we move on from Ider Nahi Jaungi and Uder Nhi Jaungi sort of films.

Shaan Shahid is one of the biggest names in Pakistani cinema, who has acted in both Urdu and Punjabi films. He is best known for his performances in hit films such as Khuda Kay Liye, and Bilal Lashari’s Waar. The veteran actor is set to star in the upcoming action flick Zarrar, which is due to be released later this month.

On the other hand, Humayun Saeed is on top of his game. He enjoyed a great year with the box office success of London Nahi Jaunga and even made his Netflix debut on the hit series The Crown and is already causing quite a fuss online with his portrayal of Dr. Hasnat Khan in it.

Humayun Saeed has easily eclipsed Shaan in terms of star power and popularity but it is good to see his respect for his senior and peer instead of getting into a petty feud. What do you think? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
