Iman Ali Clarifies Her Controversial Statements About Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan

Sher clarified that she hadn’t intended to insult the stars.

We are well aware that Iman Ali is a controversial queen, be it her bold gym looks, conspicuous dress choices, or impetuous statements. Last year, She landed in hot waters for her tongue-in-cheek remarks about Pakistani celebrities, and Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, and Humayun Saeed, in particular.

Iman Ali clarified in a recent interview that she had not meant to insult Mahira Khan or Fawad Khan and had felt that Mahira Khan would have been a great VJ, had she continued the profession, and that Fawad Khan would have failed as a comedian.

She stressed,

Those weren’t statements, they were answers to the questions. What would Mahira and Fawad be doing if had they not been actors.

The Khuda Kay Liye star claimed that her statement was misrepresented.

Last year, Iman Ali let go of all her inhibitions during an interview’s rapid fire round and said that fellow actor Humayun Saeed may as well have been a doodh/dahi bechnay wala (dairy products seller) with his typically Punjabi looks.

When asked about the country’s hot favorite, Mahira Khan, Iman Ali had immediately stated, “She should’ve stayed a VJ. She was really good at that and I really liked her as a VJ”.

Responding to a question about her co-star, Faad Khan, Iman Ali said, “He used to make really stupid jokes on set, so maybe a failed stand-up comedian”.
