Imran Khan Wants To Know Who Allowed Hareem Shah to Make a TikTok Video

Good or bad PR?

Hareem Shah

Following the Hareem Shah TikTok video incident in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), even the Prime Minister’s Office is ticked off.

The Prime Minister himself has taken notice of how and why Hareem Shah was allowed to shoot a TikTik video inside the MoFA conference room. The notice demands who facilitated her entry and why.

Turns out, the matter of disrespecting MOFA decorum isn’t being taken lightly. The PM has ordered a probe into how Shah was allowed into the consular-only premises and provided the full access required to record a video.

Hareem Shah doesn’t have a straight answer

In the footage, Hareem is even seen sitting on the chair used by the foreign minister or prime minister.

According to the TikTok girl, she doesn’t know who helped her record the video. She just ‘made her way in and asked someone who just happened to be there to help‘.

“I managed to get inside the premises and asked someone to please record the footage…I’m not aware of their position.”

When asked how she got into the consular-only premises, Hareem said as an ‘ordinary Pakistani citizen‘ she can.

“Look I was granted permission and went in alone. I’m a Pakistani citizen and it is my right to have gone there…I did nothing wrong.”

When confronted with the fact that what she did was indeed wrong, she snapped back with:

“Why did the security, staff, and authorized person not stop me if shooting a video inside was wrong?”

Public Backlash

Previously when asked how she gets access to high-security areas and officials with a tight security detail Hareem said she’s a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) affiliate.

Now Twitterati are calling for her to be reprimanded like many others have been before her regardless of her affiliation.

One wonders if this is a case of nepotism gone too far. Though there’s nothing wrong in someone filming the premises of PM House or MoFA (remember journalist Wajahat Khan in a bath tub?), there are proper protocols and procedures to be followed in such scenarios.

We leave it to the readers to make their own conclusions regarding this episode.
