Is BTS Becoming Joint Twitter CEOs?

Elon Musk apparently thinks so.

After many complaints and controversies, the notorious CEO of Twitter, Elon Musk, started a poll on the platform asking users if he should resign. The poll ended Monday morning, with 57.5% voters saying that he should step down, and 42.5% saying he shouldn’t.

After a day of silence about the results, Elon Musk announced that he would ultimately step down after he finds “someone foolish enough to take the job”.

Since then, many online users have been discussing this new topic, wondering whom he will select to head Twitter.

Grammy-winning producer, DJ Swivel, tweeted “I think BTS should become the joint Twitter CEO” to which Elon Musk replied, “Great idea,” the next day.

It seems like keeping the popularity and fan following of BTS in mind even Elon Musk thinks it’s not a bad idea and apparently agrees to it. Even ARMY couldn’t agree more.

BTS’s popularity soared even during their hiatus and after the oldest member, Kim Seokjin (aka Jin), joined the South Korean military for mandatory service this month. The world’s most popular and powerful band ranked at the No. 1 position on the year-end Oricon artists’ rankings for 2022, according to Soompi.

With this achievement, the K-pop group has become the first foreign artist in history to top the annual rankings two years in a row.

According to Oricon, BTS’ four hits albums Dynamite, Butter, Permission to Dance, and Proof all contributed to the group remaining at the top position for the second consecutive year.

Note that this month, BTS also won awards in three categories at the People’s Choice Awards in California, including the ‘Group of the Year’ for the third year in a row.

It was also the only musical act to have two Billboard Top 5 Boxscores on the year-end lists.
