Pakistan Muslim League-Noon (PML-N) vice president Maryam Nawaz captures social media attention with her ‘unique’ wardrobe for a public gathering in Gilgit-Baltistan. People can’t help but notice striking similarities between her and a very famous Diriliş: Ertuğrul character.

In an attempt to win people’s support, PML-N vice-president Maryam Nawaz does her best to channel her version of the popular historic character Halime Sultan (played by Esra Bilgiç) of the hit Turkish drama series Diriliş: Ertuğrul.

On Wednesday, ex-Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s daughter was seen at a public gathering in Gilgit-Baltistan. People on social media focused more on Maryam’s outfit rather than her ‘big’ speech.

Although the controversial politician was dressed head-to-toe in traditional attire of the Gilgit-Baltistan region, the subdued shade of blue with a head piece looked strikingly similar to the one worn by Turkish actress Esra Bilgiç in Diriliş: Ertuğrul.
