Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson managed to snag his own spin-off after two appearances in the Fast & Furious franchise. Hobbs and Shaw is already making quite a splash at the box office.
And whats more? Mr. Deadpool himself Ryan Reynolds also has an appearance in the spin-off. Looks like Hobbs finally has a partner, and its more than one.
With the Hobbs and Shaw cast already centered around three stars with huge fan-bases, the film has already scored big. The Fast & Furious spin-off cast Dwayne ‘The Rock‘ Johnson, Jason Statham, and Vanessa Kirby.

Ryan Reynolds in Fast and the Furious?
Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds’ appearance is just the cherry on top. The 42-year-old actor essays the role of a CIA agent and the role of Hobbs’ best friend, Locke.
While Reynolds has played an agent before FBI and CIA, Locke is different. He brings in the question, ‘what! didn’t Hobbs always say he doesn’t work with partners?’
While Ryan Reynolds’ Agent Locke is a more serious take on security agents unlike his previous run-ins with the role, he managed to slip in some jokes.
In the post-credit scenes, we saw Locke as more of Reynolds’ Wade Wilson in X-Men Origins: Wolverine; or even Richard Messner in Smokin Aces.

So is this Agent Locke serious about staying? Director David Leitch suggested that he might be. How will they play into the whole Fast & Furious universe, given that Luke Hobbs doesn’t like partners, but now he has Deckard Shaw, along with some big box office success behind their names.
David Leitch teased the possibility of seeing more of Ryan in upcoming Hobbs and Shaw movies. (or maybe he’s just being a tease).
“Hopefully we can spin [him] out into more episodes of Hobbs & Shaw,”
So how did they get Reynolds onboard, to begin with? The director said that Reynolds did the cameo as a favor. Besides Reynolds, The Rock’s nephew in-real-life Roman Reigns also has a cameo in the movie.
