The immensely popular Fast and Furious franchise may finally be coming to its conclusion as sources have confirmed that the racing series will end its long and successful run after the 11th film.

For more than two decades, the action-packed joy ride that is Fast and Furious has entertained fans all around the world.

From its initial inception as a street-racing thriller starring the late Paul Walker and Vin Diesel to its over-the-top ‘superheroes with fast cars’ transformation, the franchise has never failed to captivate movie-goers.

Each new installment has pushed the boundaries of entertainment and the general laws of physics! Fans have long speculated that the creators will eventually run out of things they can do with a car. Some even believed that future installments would be in space. Well, as funny as it sounds, this is actually happening in the upcoming installment!

However, sources have confirmed that the 11th installment will be the grand finale to the long-running film franchise.

The end of Fast and Furious

Fans of the action franchise shouldn’t despair as currently the 10th Fast and Furious film is in the works. Justin Lin, who has previously worked on the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 9th film, is responsible for directing the final two installments.

Furthermore, the Fast and Furious cinematic universe still lives through Hobbs and Shaw as well as other spin-off movies based on various characters from the franchise. So there’s hope that more films are incoming.

The latest film is eagerly anticipated as it will feature the debut of even more new characters like John Cena, Cardi B and Ozuna.
