Jami Confirms Identity of Person Who Raped Him

The ‘Moor’ director revealed the culprit on Twitter.

Acclaimed filmmaker Jamshed Mahmood Raza, also known as Jami, has finally came out with the name of his alleged rapist.

Previously this year, the award-winning filmmaker had created a stir over social media when he took to Twitter to reveal his harrowing rape by a “media tycoon”. The incident took place 13 years ago in Karachi, but Jami has finally named his alleged abuser, Hameed Haroon, the CEO of DAWN Media Group.

We will have to wait and see how this unfolds, whether more survivors come out and share their ordeal and if justice prevails to see these culprits like Hameed Haroon pay for their actions or not. For now, we as a nation have to do some soul-searching as to how to prevent such incidents, how to offer protection to the victims and hold the culprits accountable for their heinous actions. What do you think should be done?
