As Justin Bieber suffered facial paralysis, the popstar put his first tour post-pandemic on hold. The Baby singer told fans on Friday told fans that he has been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome.
In a video posted on Instagram, the Boyfriend singer could be seen with facial paralysis. The 28-year-old pop singer shared that it was temporary. However, due to his illness, he is pausing his Justice World Tour due to illness, mere hours before his first scheduled concert in Toronto.
In his Instagram post, the Sorry singer emphasized how the ailment was ‘pretty serious’. He even captioned the video;
“IMPORTANT PLEASE WATCH. I love you guys and keep me in your prayers.”
Justin Bieber even called on fans to be understanding and offer support. Even elaborating on the extent of spread thus far.
“For those frustrated by my cancellations of the next shows, I’m just physically, obviously not capable of doing them, … My body’s telling me I’ve got to slow down. I hope you guys understand, … I can’t smile on this side of my face. This nostril will not move. So there’s full paralysis on this side of my face.”

Ramsay Hunt Syndrome is caused by varicella-zoster virus infecting a nerve in the head. The illness is identified by facial paralysis and rash near the ear and surrounding areas such as the face and mouth.
In addition to these complications, it can cause hearing loss.
