After struggling with illness for months now, veteran comedian Amanullah passed away. Social media is in a frenzy over the loss of the beloved artist.
The television stand-up comedy star was considered as one of the best comedians in Pakistan. He is often dubbed the ‘King of Comedy’ in Pakistan.
Amanullah Khan was also awarded the Pride of Performance Award by the President in 2018. His recent works include his appearances on Duniya New’s Mazaaq Raat.
Media outlets are reporting that the legendary artist has passed away. We think this might not be a rumor as news outlets broke the news, not social media. In the past news of the artist’s death had been circulated, only to be shot down by his daughter.

Amanullah’s battle
The comedian has been in and out of the hospital since January 2018. He was admitted to a private hospital in Lahore when his health deteriorated around that time.
The comedian was then admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a private hospital undergoing treatment for lung and liver complications six months ago.
Not Another Rumor
Around two months ago in January 2020, there were rumors that the stage artist had passed away. His daughter has previously rubbished rumors that Amanullah had died when he was undergoing treatment for pneumonia.
“Abu was facing difficulty in breathing; that is why we brought him to the hospital earlier this week. He is suffering from pneumonia,”
