A recent development in the Dr. Maha Shah case might have sealed Junaid Khan’s fate. The fashion blogger’s voice note has surfaced recently, which she allegedly sent to her friend days before her death.

In a voice note allegedly from Dr. Maha Shah, she can be heard informing her friend that she took sleeping pills after a fight with her abusive ex-boyfriend Junaid Khan. This reveals the young doctor’s suicidal tendencies. The Instagram influencer even admitted to suffering from depression over problems caused by Junaid.

Police still want to do their due diligence and have asked permission from the court, seeking to exhume Dr. Maha Shah’s body to carry out a post-mortem investigation.

ARY News reported that police investigators moved the court on Tuesday after declaring the previous medical report ‘wrong’.

The circumstances of the death are shrouded in mystery as the police investigators had originally stated that the cause of death was a 9mm pistol bullet wound shot in her head from the right hand. On the contrary, the medical report stated the bullet was shot from the left hand.

Police claimed that the medico-legal officer (MLO) had released the medical report without conducting a post mortem. They assert that a better picture of the case will only emerge after conducting post mortem of Dr. Maha Shah.
