Police Charge 3 People Over Dr Maha Shah Suicide Case

An accused has also been arrested.

As police investigations go on, the family of Dr. Maha Shah has now come forward to register a case. The development comes with the new emergence of new evidence surrounding the mysterious death and suicide of the social media star.

During the past few days, police discovered the involvement of a Karachite, Junaid Khan, who was Maha’s ex-boyfriend. Reportedly, he had a toxic relationship with the deceased fashion blogger.

Dr. Maha Shah’s father, Syed Asif Ali Shah, says that she had no one to talk to about her inner turmoil, despite all her followers. They have filed a complaint against three people on charges of abuse, blackmailing, and driving Maha to the point where she shot herself dead.

According to ARY News, the FIR was registered at the Gizri Police station. This new development is in light of the fact that the social media influencer had told her sister she was in an abusive relationship with Junaid Khan.

The victim had also discussed the issue with one Waqas Hasan Rizvi and Dr. Irfan Qureshi, but they also blackmailed her.

Dr. Irfan Qureshi is a dentist by profession who used to run a hospital near South City Hospital, where Dr Maha worked. The FIR specifically mentions that Dr. Irfan also harassed Maha after intoxicating her.

The blackmail from Junaid, Waqas, and Dr. Irfan is allegedly what led Maha Shah to shoot herself. Police say that Dr. Irfan has already been arrested.

One of the fashion blogger’s co-workers has also been named in the FIR.

Syed Asif Ali Shah alleges that a ‘friend’ and two doctors would harass Dr. Maha Shah, ultimately forcing her to take her own life. The family also claims that the fashion influencer was also driven to narcotics use by the same elements.
