The film’s writer revealed how the ‘miscasting’ went down. In his appearance on ‘Wo Wala Show‘, the Ghissi Pitti Mohabbat writer shared that miscasting and various other aspects spoiled the film.
As per the Fasih Bari Khan, he always had Sajal Aly in his mind when writing that script. However, filmmakers cast Mahira Khan for a character he wrote for Sajal.
“The makers casted Mahira in the film, Mahira is a good actor but the character was not for her (Sajal).”
Similarly, the protagonist was written with Mohib Mirza in mind. Later Sheheryar Munawar was cast instead. Additionally, all the humor he added to the story was cut out.
The writer shared how he had to change the script on demand. This obviously didn’t go well and the resulting film was bad and tanked at the box office. It could not do well in cinemas and it was criticized a lot on various platforms.
“I’m known for my humor, and when you remove that humor, …. it was a really bad experience.”
