Man Cuts Off Wife’s Nose Over Refusal to Make Tea

The police needs to take action against the culprits.

A man cut off his wife’s nose for not making him tea in Mian Chunnu village.

Dameera along with his brother Ameera and cousin Mushtaq, cut off his wife Parveen’s nose after she refused to make tea. The woman is a domestic worker and the breadwinner for the family, but her husband couldn’t make his own tea.

The underlying social issue in this crime is male privilege and entitlement that fuels crimes against women.

“I work at people’s homes as a domestic helper to feed my children as my husband doesn’t support me.”

Details about the crime

Police revealed that the crime took place in the village of Saddar in Mian Chunnu village, 97/15 L.  Mian Channu police have arrested the accused, Dameera and are keeping him in police custody. Meanwhile the victim, Parveen is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital.

Parveen Bibi, told the police that Dameera, Ameera, and Mushtaq brutally tortured her before cutting off her nose.

The victim sustained injuries to her hands, arms and other parts of the body. This isn’t the first instance of domestic abuse between Parveen and Dameera. This is just the first case where police got involved.

“I have been subjected to domestic violence in the past, but this time he has beaten me brutally because I refused to make tea for him and his brother.”
