A man allegedly stabbed and injured a young lady for rejecting his proposal in Mughalpura, Lahore. The man Ghulam Murtaza has been taken into police custody.
The fact that this incident took place in broad daylight just proves how unapologetic barbarism is. With several other people present at the time of the stabbing, they stepped in to help.

The Mughalpura police said that the man cornered the victim in a crowded bazaar near Jehangir Road. According to reports, the girl had turned down the perpetuator’s proposal. Not knowing how to take a no for an answer and armed with a knife, this second time the man expressed resentment towards the girl for refusing his marriage proposal.
Based on information gathered from bystanders, the police say that Ghulam Murtaza then proposed to the girl again, knife in hand. The suspect demanded that the lady fulfill her promise (that she apparently made to him).
Spurned Over a Proposal
The lady informed the suspect Ghulam Murtaza that her parents wish to marry her off to another man. Ghulam Murtaza then stabbed the girl, seriously wounding her.
That’s when bystanders intervened and tackled the suspect. They handed him over to the police but not before thrashing the would-be murderer black and blue.
Police transported the wounded girl to the hospital where she underwent surgery.
Details of the FIR filed against the suspect Ghulam Murtaza are not known. In fact, it is not known whether an FIR has been filed yet or not.
