Pakistan’s mega superstar Mehwish Hayat is back, and she’s bringing the drama—literally. After a seven-year hiatus from television, the Dil Lagi star is making her much-anticipated return to the small screen with a dark and intense role in 7th Sky Entertainment’s latest mega project.
The Ms. Marvel actress is set to star alongside Ahsan Khan and Hira Mani in a drama that promises a gripping mix of love, secrets, and suspense.
The production house, 7th Sky Entertainment, unveiled the drama’s official trailer on Instagram, confirming Hayat’s return. The caption read:
A Story of Love, Secrets and Suspense! The iconic Mehwish Hayat makes her grand return to dramas with none other than the dashing Ahsan Khan along with Hira Mani, in 7th Sky Entertainment’s mega project! Coming soon only on Geo Entertainment!
The drama, directed by Siraj ul Haq and written by Fatima Faizan and Amber Azhar, boasts a stellar ensemble cast, including Usmaan Peerzada, Zainab Qayoom, Nayyer Ejaz, Sohail Sameer, Osama Tahir, Nida Mumtaz, Shamyl Khan, Afsheen Hayat, and Zohreh Amir.
At the helm of the project are producers Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi, known for delivering some of Pakistan’s most successful dramas.
Mehwish’s last drama, Dil Lagi (2016), was both a critical and commercial success, cementing her status as one of Pakistan’s most talented actors.
Since then, Mehwish Hayat has focused on her film career, starring in hits like Punjab Nahi Jaungi and Load Wedding, and even made her Hollywood debut in Marvel’s Ms. Marvel series.
