Bollywood star Vidya Balan is loving Sanam Teri Kasam and its stars Mawra Hocane Harshvardhan Rane. The 2016 Bollywood film has found new life and success with its recent re-release.
The Bhool Bhulaiya star recently joined the ranks of fans flocking to see the film. After watching Sanam Teri Kasam in the cinema, Vidya Balan took to her Instagram story to shower praise on the film and its stars, particularly Mawra Hocane.
Sharing the official poster, Balan wrote, “Enjoyed watching this simple love story in the theatre! Congrats to #Mawra #HarshvardhanRane”
She also added,
Mawra aap kamaal ho.
The film’s leading man, Harshvardhan Ran also expressed his excitement over the movie’s newfound success. Speaking to media, he said, “I hope it does what it didn’t do earlier, that’s it. Kya feel karoon main? Everyone was asking me everywhere to bring this film back.”
He added, “The only anecdote I remember is that we all were expecting this film to do much better than what it did. That void has pushed me today to request everyone to release this. Nau saal hogaye hain (It has been nine years), every year they keep losing faith, but my faith keeps increasing. When it didn’t perform well, we all (the producers, director, actors) felt that pain, a tug in the heart.”
Originally a box office flop, Sanam Teri Kasam is now drawing packed audiences and smashing records across India.
The film, which hit theaters again on February 7, has been met with an unexpected wave of enthusiasm. Theaters are reporting housefull shows, and the movie has already grossed Rs 30.6 crore in just two days.
